Factor Anti – Xa LMWH (Fraxiparine, Clexane)

40 BGN

Anticoagulants are drugs that slow down the blood clotting process. They achieve their effect by inhibiting the synthesis or function of various clotting factors. These medicines are used to prevent the formation of blood clots (thrombi) in the blood vessels.

Low molecular weight heparins are used to prevent thromboembolism, especially in pregnant, critically ill or renally impaired patients.

The Factor Anti-Xa assay is a laboratory test that indirectly measures the activity of heparins. It serves to monitor the effect of applied anticoagulant therapy.

Treatment of the individual patient should be evaluated regularly by weighing the risk of ischemic events against the risk of bleeding. A decision to continue treatment should be made by a specialist, based on the individual patient’s condition.
