Insulin – three times (0, 60 and 120 min)

46.00 BGN

Insulin levels at 0, 60, and 120 minutes are often examined as part of various medical procedures, such as the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT), to assess pancreatic function and the body’s response to glucose. Insulin at 0 minutes provides information about the insulin level in the blood before glucose or food consumption. This moment reflects the baseline or fasting insulin concentration in the body. Insulin at 60 minutes – following glucose or food consumption, insulin levels typically begin to rise. The insulin level at 60 minutes after consumption may indicate how the body reacts to elevated glucose levels and the level of insulin secretion from the pancreas. Insulin at 120 minutes reflects the insulin level in the blood 2 hours after glucose or food consumption. This moment provides information about the duration of the body’s insulin response and can serve as an assessment of the body’s metabolic function. Studies of insulin at different time points play an important role in diagnosing various metabolic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, metabolic syndromes, and other disorders related to glucose metabolism.
